Tove Lo Responds to Megan Thee Stallion’s Collaboration Request: “I’m So Ready”

Tove Lo has responded to Megan Thee Stallion’s request to work together on new music.

At a concert in Phoenix this week (June 19), Megan picked up a sign from the crowd and made a public plea to the Swedish singer to work on a collaboration at some point.

“Tove Lo, I don’t know if you see this, but we have to do a song, because they don’t mess around,” Megan said. “Someone record this for my girlfriend and tell her we need a song.”

Now, Tove has given her answer, and it looks like the collaboration is off and running. “I’m so ready @theestallion,” she wrote on X. “Let me know where and when.”

Megan will release her third studio album ‘Megan’ this week (June 28) via her independent label Hot Girl Productions. She announced the record earlier this month, sharing the cover art, which shows her emerging from a cocoon in a laboratory. Pre-save the album here.

She recently revealed the full tracklist for “Megan,” which includes collaborations with Victoria Monét and GloRilla.

The album will see Monét guest on “Spin” and GloRilla make an appearance on “Accent,” while a reunited UGK, including the late Pimp C, will feature on “Paper Together.” Kyle Ricch is on “BAS” and Yuki Chiba guests on “Mamushi”, while previously released singles “Cobra”, “Hiss” and “Boa” are included as expected.

Megan, meanwhile, recently replaced Tyler, The Creator as this year’s Lollapalooza headliner after he was forced to withdraw due to personal reasons. Megan’s slot will take place on Thursday, August 1st.

Next month she will play in a series of concerts across the UK and Europe, kicking off in Glasgow on July 4, then traveling to Manchester, Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, Dublin, Birmingham and finishing at the O2 in London July 17. more details here and find remaining tickets here.

Earlier this year, Megan confirmed that she had signed a new recording contract with Warner Music. “This is the start of an exciting new chapter in my life and career,” she said in a statement.

Under the terms of the agreement, Hot Girl Productions, the artist’s independent entertainment and music entity, will publish her musical projects, while Warner Music Group and its international subsidiaries will assist her with services such as radio promotion and global marketing.

Tove Lo, meanwhile, released an EP with SG Lewis last week (June 14), a four-track dance project.

Talk to NME About the inspiration for the project, Lo said: “We try to highlight other people and the queer community more than ourselves in the videos. The passing line is someone fully discovering themselves for the first time in a club space – in Club Heat.
