Credit unions will offer loans for energy upgrades

HOUSEHOLDS will now be able to apply for loans to improve the energy efficiency of their homes through special loans offered by credit unions.

Cork Credit Unions and Energywise Ireland have entered into a partnership offering competitive loan rates for improvements.

Through the ‘One Stop Shop’ scheme, homeowners can claim up to €34,000 in grants for various energy upgrades, including solar panels, heat pumps, energy efficient windows, doors and ventilation systems.

Credit union members will benefit from easy-to-apply green/home improvement loans and fast withdrawal of funds.
