Apparently, Remarkable Alexa has generative AI built in and can give customers shopping advice and order Uber Eats deliveries. It was pointed out that the “shopping advice” feature is similar to Amazon’s previously announced “Rufus” text chat service.

The version presented in September 2023 would have a less robotic tone and would be able to have a more human conversation. One person involved said: “In the final version, you won’t need to call ‘Alexa’ multiple times, and it may be possible to provide more personalized services.

The remarkable Alexa will be available in free and paid versions, with the paid version expected to cost between $5 and $10. This price will be billed separately from Amazon Prime. Amazon is also reportedly planning a free upgrade to make existing Alexa compatible with generative AI.

Amazon is also working to redesign home automation that can be controlled through Alexa, learning from user behavior to turn on the TV for your favorite TV shows, turn on the coffee maker after your morning alarm goes off, and more. However, some sources point out that “for these services to work properly, customers will need to purchase additional Alexa-enabled devices.”
