Charli XCX begs fans to stop shouting ‘disturbing’ chants about Taylor Swift at her concerts

Singer Charli XCX has appealed to her fans to stop shouting Taylor Swift’s vocals at her concerts because it “bothers” her.

The singer recently released her latest album kid and the record was reached praise from fans and criticsbecoming the highest rated album of 2024 to date.

But the singer was forced to speak to some of her fans after being alerted to a small minority shouting “Taylor (Swift) is dead” at recent concerts in Brazil.

On X/Twitter, a fan sent him a message. They explained: “Hey @charli_xcx your Brazilian fans showed toxic behavior by shouting ‘Taylor is dead!’ in your concerts and events concerning you.

“Could you do something?” We don’t think that’s the point of music. »

They shared clips allegedly taken during Charli XCX’s shows in Sao Paulo, where fans could be heard shouting “A Taylor Morreu,” which means “Taylor is dead” in Portuguese.

Posting on her Instagram Stories, Charli XCX called out fans who were shouting the chant and asked them to stop doing it.

She wrote: “Can the people who do this stop. Online or during my shows. This is the opposite of what I want and it bothers me that anyone would think there is room for this in this community. I will not tolerate it.

The singer was praised for speaking out against her fans’ bad behavior and many suggested they wished more artists would do it.

“Normalize by calling out toxic behavior from your fans,” one person said argued.

Someone else wrote: “You heard it!”
