FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The University of Saint Francis (USF) is hosting a press conference to share the future of its Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center.

Last week, WANE 15 confirmed that the building was purchased by Sweet Real Estate in early June. Sweet Real Estate is owned by local businessman Chuck Surack and is part of Surack Enterprises.

The USF Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center, located at 431 W Berry Street, was purchased for a total of $2,000,010.

The center was inaugurated in 2018 and is equipped with high-end equipment, classrooms, individual and ensemble practice spaces, recording studios, mixing rooms, a piano laboratory and a main studio, according to the USF website.

The center also has a 2,000-seat auditorium, which hosts university, regional and national performances each year.

In 2022, USF announced it would work with the City of Fort Wayne to redevelop its downtown properties, including the USF Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center.
