Cat Deeley shocked by Ben Shephard’s hit on her husband

Cat Deeley was left shocked today after her co-presenter Ben Shephard appeared to lash out at her husband Patrick Kielty on This Morning.

Today’s show Monday morning (June 24) included a segment on the World’s Ugliest Dog competition.

While Ben joked that everyone finds their own dog cute, guest Sonia Sodha agreed: “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, no one thinks their own pet is ugly.”

Cat also added: “I also really like underdogs! I like a dog with literally three legs or…”

To this, Ben cheekily interjected, “Are you attracted to them?” Is that why you married Paddy?

As Sonia and Gyles Brandreth burst into awkward laughter, Cat stuck her tongue out at Ben and replied, “Oh my God!” You know he’s feeling bad right now, so he can’t help you!

Cat’s comment sparked some concern among viewers, but she later revealed Paddy suffered from shingles.

“He thought he touched his face. He had this burning, tingling, tingling sensation, so that’s what he thought it was,” she explained.

As This Morning doctor Dr Sara explained the condition can cause fatigue and headaches, as well as painful spots anywhere on the body, Cat said poor Paddy “had them on the face “.

Many viewers took to social media to offer their sympathy and best wishes to the comedian.

“Feel Cat’s husband, the shingles is horrible,” one person tweeted.

Another said: “I’ve had shingles three times. It’s (bleep) horrible.
