Grace de Monaco unveils a collection of sunglasses inspired by Grace Kelly

Grace de Monaco has added another addition to its assortment of homewares, beauty items, accessories and more with the Grace Kelly-inspired sunglasses collection. All profits from the collection will be donated to the Princess Grace Foundation – USA, which supports grants to emerging artists in theater, dance and film. The sunglasses are available on the official Grace de Monaco website.

The collection is inspired by Grace Kelly’s timeless style with a contemporary twist. Grace de Monaco presents two collections for the first sunglasses, including the Drama collection and the Grand Prix collection.

The Drama collection features different styles inspired by Kelly’s on-screen roles before she married into the Monaco royal family in April 1956. The royal was married to Prince Rainier of Monaco until his death in 1982. Each style is made in Italy and features a sophisticated, polished frame, evocative of Kelly’s enduring stylistic sensibility.

The Grand Prix collection is inspired by the Monte-Carlo Grand Prix circuit. Designs include elegantly curved metal-framed sunglasses, each frame named after one of the racecourse’s famous turns.

“When your muse is someone as timeless as Princess Grace, there is no shortage of iconic moments to draw inspiration from,” said Claudia Poccia, managing director of Grace of Monaco.

“It was only natural that the Grace brand of Monaco would expand our home with this latest addition to a sunglasses collection. The collection is an inspired, modern take on what Princess Grace herself may have worn today and invites the wearer to embody her iconic spirit themselves.

Best known for her on-screen performances in films like “Rear Window,” “To Catch a Thief,” “Dial M for Murder” and her Oscar-winning turn in 1955’s “The Country Girl,” Grace Kelly’s style at the screen, on the red carpet and around the world embodied effortless elegance. Her clothing and fashion sensibility could be attributed to today’s runway shows and more, demonstrating the everlasting quality of the actress and royal family’s fashion.
