Brownsville Airport will offer direct flights to Monterrey

Nonstop flights from Brownsville to Monterrey will be available soon.

On Monday, Brownsville-South Padre Island International Airport announced that Monterrey-based airline Aerus would offer these flights.

Flights will be offered daily, but on planes that can accommodate only nine passengers.

“This was one of the airport’s most sought-after markets to connect friends, family and businesses – and attract more people to Brownsville and South Padre Island,” said airport director, Angel Ramos.

Flight reservations will open on July 8 and the first flight will take off on September 9.
