Biden campaign: Senator Elizabeth Warren kicks off Wisconsin tour to stop Trump’s abortion bans with town hall in Milwaukee

Today, on the anniversary of the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. WadeBiden-Harris National Advisory Board Member Senator Elizabeth Warren hosted a panel discussion highlighting how Donald Trump caused the downfall of Roe – and that reproductive freedom is on the ballot this November. Senator Warren was joined by Lieutenant Governor Sara Rodriguez, State Senator LaTonya Johnson, and Amanda Zurawski, who directly faced the consequences of Trump’s abortion bans and nearly died as a result. Zurawski previously toured Wisconsin on behalf of the Biden-Harris campaign to highlight how Donald Trump’s extreme abortion agenda is impacting women here and across the country.

“Today marks two years since Donald Trump’s hand-picked Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and left women in this country with fewer rights than their mothers and grandmothers. I’m here in Wisconsin because this state will play a critical role in deciding whether Donald Trump gets another four years in the Oval Office,” said Senator Elizabeth Warren. “Wisconsinites have rejected Trump’s extreme anti-abortion agenda again and again at the ballot box. And I know in November, they’ll send him packing once and for all.”

In Milwaukee, Senator Warren, Zurawski, Lieutenant Governor Rodriguez, and State Sen. Johnson slammed Donald Trump for bragging for being “proudly the person responsible” for overturning Roe v. Wade and warned that a second Trump presidency would be even worse for reproductive health care access.

Trump and his MAGA allies have made it crystal clear that they will not stop at abortion, they are hellbent on inserting themselves into the most personal decisions a woman can make, even including contraception and IVF.

Senator Warren will continue her tour of Wisconsin calling out Trump’s abortion bans with a rally this evening in Madison and stops in Eau Claire and Hudson tomorrow.
