Neet-ug: Cancellation of NEET-UG will bring justice to candidates: Jha | Patna News

Patna: RJD national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member Manoj Kumar Jha on Monday demanded cancellation of NEET-UG 2024 exam as “large-scale irregularities marked by grant of grace marks , moderation of marks, compromise of exam centers and paper leaks” surfaced after the results were announced in early June. Jha was speaking to the media in Delhi on Monday. He said, “Justice for the candidates will be that the NEET-UG 2024 exam is cancelled. » The RJD extended its support to the protesting candidates. Pointing out that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was first dismissive of any irregularities and then called the paper leak that surfaced in Bihar a “localized matter “On the surface, Pradhan constituted a high-powered committee to look into the matter and give its recommendations on the conduct of the exams,” he said, adding that the Tests carried out by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in the past should also be examined. that reports of malpractices have surfaced in various states including Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. Demanding removal of NTA, he said, “NTA is a fraud and it should be thrown into the Bay of Bengal.” When asked if the Union minister should take responsibility for what happened, Jha said, “If it had been the Narendra Modi government, no resignation would have taken place. But since this is an NDA government, the education minister should take responsibility and tender his resignation. » He alleged that document leaks were commonplace in states ruled by the BJP or NDA. “In contrast, when RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav was deputy CM in the 17-month-long Grand Alliance government in Bihar, jobs were given to around 5 lakh aspirants. No paper leakage or cancellation of any exam has taken place,” Jha said. Besides, Tejashwi was criticized by deputy CM and senior BJP functionary Vijay Kumar Sinha.
