Bay Ridge jewelry store thieves caught on camera

Residents condemned the incident as police searched for suspects.

The owner of a Bay Ridge jewelry store is calling on the public to help identify the people behind a brazen burglary at his store on June 15. Police are investigating persons of interest who entered the store just after 5 p.m. Store owner Fawzi Ayoub told News12 the group asked to see merchandise behind the counter before allegedly stealing a roll of bracelets worth more than $50,000. The entire interaction took place on video as the man can be seen holding the scroll behind his back before handing it to a younger man who then places it in his shirt.
