Several people were injured in a two-vehicle collision Monday afternoon in Molino.

A pickup truck attempting to cross Highway 29 and an SUV collided at Highways 29 and 196 around 2:35 p.m.

The Florida Highway Patrol said a pickup truck driven by a 52-year-old Cantonment man stopped at a westbound stop sign on Highway 196 before moving directly into the path of an SUV driven by a 67-year-old man from Illinois who was heading south on Hwy. 29. The two vehicles came to a definitive stop at the southwest corner of Route 29 and Route 196.

The SUV’s two drivers and two passengers, ages 66 and 38 and both from Illinois, were transported by Escambia County Emergency Medical Services to area hospitals. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.
