Gemma Collins Makes Beauty Mistake When Accidentally Mistaking Fake Tan for Facial Serum

Gemma Collins suffered an unfortunate beauty mistake, leaving her with a streaky fake tan on her face after mistaking tanning drops for facial serum.

The former TOWIE star, 43, took to her Instagram Stories on Monday night to tell her 2.2 million followers about a weight loss fad she was following, when she admitted her mistake.

She posted a short video of her empty plate after eating noodles and claimed “life couldn’t be better”, before filming a follow-up clip with the camera on her face.

Gemma warned: “Don’t even look at my face right now, I don’t know what I’ve done.

“I think I went and put on some facial serum last night and I put on a tanning drop serum. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

Examining her face on camera, she added: “This could only happen to me, the hands are pure white.”

The star then tried to continue talking about her diet but continued to get distracted by her mistake, appearing shocked by her reflection on the screen.

Gemma desperately asked fans for help on how to quickly rectify her mistake.

She asked: “Any solutions on how…look how bad it is. Isn’t that bad?

‘Shocking. It’s typical of me, always in a hurry, not looking good, but the dinner was delicious.

The reality star pointed to her face and turned sideways so viewers could see the fake tan fail from multiple angles.

A noticeable line was visible, stopping at the edges of her face where she hadn’t used the product.

And this isn’t the first time the reality starlet has gotten tough on the fake tan bottle.

In May 2019, Gemma was photographed posing for photographers in Los Angeles, with heavily tanned hands.

She was dressed to turn heads as she landed at LAX airport, wearing an eye-catching snake print ensemble and Versace slides.

However, fans couldn’t help but notice that the fake tan failed when she raised her hand to wave in a taxi.

The latest beauty blunder comes just after the reality star bravely opened up and revealed her fears of being “an overweight mom” amid her fertility struggles.

Gemma, who battled polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), opened up in a candid interview about how she wanted to be the “best version of herself” if she had children.

It comes after she claimed she had reversed her PCOS and will start trying for a baby with fiancé Rami Hawash in September.

She recently told how her new diet guru, Steve Bennett, helped “cure” her after years of fertility problems.

Steve, who has published a new book called The Fiber First diet, transformed her lifestyle and helped her go from a size 26 to a 20 – which she says “cured” her condition.

Gemma said Ok! Magazine on wanting to be in shape to start a family: “I don’t want to be an overweight mom. Nothing against overweight moms, but I want to run and play with my child.

Of her fertility struggles, she added: “I still find that nothing has ever been easy for me. I’ve always been the one who struggles to get there!

“It’s the same with my fertility and I share it because so many people reach out to me and are going through the same thing.”

“I want to have as much energy as possible for my child and be the best version of myself for my child.”
