Another top hospital chief caught in crackdown on corruption in China’s healthcare system

What’s new: The president of Shanghai Tongji Hospital has been investigated for corruption for “serious violations of discipline and the law”, the local anti-corruption body announced on Monday, without further comment details.

The investigation into Cheng Yingsheng came less than three years after the 58-year-old medical imaging expert became president of the largest hospital affiliated with Tongji University in November 2021.
