Shanna Moakler Breaks Her Silence on ‘Deadbeat Mom’ Rumors

Shanna Moakler responded to questions from her followers and rumors that she was called a “reckless mom.”

The 49-year-old model and actress spoke exclusively with People magazine on frequently asked questions from its subscribers about its children.

She said that on her social media accounts, fans “ask questions,” more specifically “the questions are always about my kids.”

Moakler noted how “all of a sudden I became (a) careless mother or I wasn’t in my children’s lives.”

She went on to say, “People wonder, ‘Why are your kids living with Travis?’ » So I would be happy to set the record straight. »

“I was never involved in my children’s lives. I always had joint custody.”

Moakler also explained how the public perceived her: “all she did was sleep on Meet the barkers“.

While explaining, she said, “I spent the night rocking three babies under the age of five” and those few moments cannot “dictate or tell who I am as a mother.”

Additionally, she mentioned that her children are now adults and she is living as an empty nester.

“(My) kids are 18, 20 and 25 now. So my kids are grown up. I’m basically an empty nester at this point. They’re living their lives.”

For those who don’t know, Moakler and Travis Barker started dating in 2002 and after four years of marriage, they split in 2008.
