2024 NBA Draft Best Bets: Odds and Predictions to Consider at DraftKings Sportsbook

2024 NBA Draft Best Bets: Odds and Predictions to Consider at DraftKings Sportsbook

Last summer, we had the safest No. 1 pick in the NBA draft since LeBron James, as Victor Wembanyama headlined an otherwise pretty solid draft class. This summer we’re in for a different story, as the No. 1 pick remains wide open with just one day until draft night. Not to mention this is considered one of the weakest draft classes of all time.

If you’ve followed my work over the years, draft betting is something I’m usually heavily involved in. From 2019 to 2022 in particular, there were plenty of reasons to be heavily invested in the NBA and NFL drafts. That said, markets have tightened over the past couple of years, primarily because it is an information-driven market.

With the more regulated market and the high uncertainty around this draft class, I’m betting softly on this draft. If anything changes, I’ll add games, but the market has already adjusted quickly (and some of my games have already evolved significantly).

HAS DraftKings Sports Betting we are at the forefront of the industry in conquering these markets. So be sure to check back to learn more before the project. The NBA Draft will also span two days for the first time, and there will be Day 2 markets once the first day ends.

Here is my first article on the best NBA draft bets with last week’s gamesmany of which are still available.

I posted this one on Twitter on Monday, and the juice has since moved. I still think it’s good to bet at a juicy price, as long as the prop stays at 3.5. There are only so many spots to pick in the top 3, and he’s starting to look like Clingan is more likely to go somewhere in the 4-8 range.

As of Tuesday afternoon, we have a -260 favorite to move to No. 1, a -650 favorite to move to No. 2, and a -190 favorite to move to No. 3 – none of which are Clingan. Games with the Hawks, Wizards and Rockets teams are not favorable destinations. So unless we see a trade from a team that has fallen in love with Clingan and doesn’t think they can select him between 4-8, it’s difficult to find a top 3 destination.

Filipowski was a highly touted prospect coming out of high school, but didn’t do himself much favor for his NBA stock. His prop draft has slipped, but 23.5 should still be a good number here. Flip could easily be a second round pick.

Missi was very raw in his first season at Baylor, but the big man is an elite athlete with developing skills. He brings athleticism on both sides of the ball and provides solid rim protection. I’d go here with a comparison of Clint Capela, who in a weak class like this deserves a top 20 finish.

In last week’s article, I played Dillingham OVER 9.5, and now it looks like it’s in danger of slipping even further. Holland also hasn’t reached his full potential, but he’s already been rated as one of the top prospects in this class. I expect a team to take a chance on Holland before Dillingham due to his size.
