AEM Announces First Stop of Manufacturing Express Tour

KNOXVILLE, IND. —Equipment designer and manufacturer Weiler announced June 25 that it will host the Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ (AEM) inaugural Manufacturing Express event at its Knoxville, Indiana, facility on July 1.

The event celebrates Weiler’s contributions to both the manufacturing community and the local community, an AEM release said.

Weiler, an AEM member, is one of the largest employers in Knoxville and Marion County, with more than 400,000 square feet of manufacturing space.

“The Manufacturing Express celebrates our employees and our community while highlighting our contributions to American manufacturing and the American economy. This is an opportunity to invite policymakers and the media to come together to learn more about Weiler and our role in driving innovation, economic growth and job creation in the region” , Weiler President and Founder Pat Weiler said in a statement.

The tour will visit more than 20 states with 80 stops at equipment manufacturers to showcase the technology and innovations that power modern equipment, the release said.

“We are thrilled to join so many Weiler community leaders and supporters for this incredible opportunity to highlight the importance of American off-road equipment manufacturing in Knoxville on July 1. The AEM Manufacturing Express is more than just a bus tour. ; “This is an opportunity to tell the stories of the men and women of our industry in Knoxville and highlight how their courage, determination and initiative have played a vital role in the American way of life,” added AEM President Megan Tanel.
