A dress inspired by Lord Brahma takes over Paris Fashion Week; Rahul Mishra’s creation hailed as ‘breathtaking and incredible’ | Fashion trends

The inspiration behind Aura

Rahul posted photos of a model from the show, walking the runway in a black sequined and lace dress. What’s special about this look is the headpiece: two sequined heads coming out from each side. Rahul wrote in his post that the dress is a tribute to the three-headed god, Lord Brahma.

“AURA | COUTURE FALL 2024 The Hindu god Brahma, also known as Trikaldarshi, meaning the seer of all time – of the past, present and future – is the creator of the entire cosmos. In mythology he is depicted with four heads to contemplate all directions at once. The garment symbolizes the intrinsic “seer” energy of the god Brahma with the two faces drawn on the surface of the figure, representing the imperceptible nature of God and the aura of his creation surrounding him.

Revolutionize fashion

Fans of the designer were stunned by the piece. “Damn, you already revolutionized fashion but you really ate with this one,” one wrote. “Wow. This is something else entirely,” wrote another. “Congratulations for your creativity. I love the idea behind Aura,” read another comment

Rahul Mishra has enjoyed incredible success in recent years. Last year, Zendaya wore her sari dress at the NMACC opening in Mumbai. Her outfits have been seen on Golda Rosheuvel, Gwen Stefani and others as well. Fashion stylist Law Roach wore his suit to the Met Gala this year.

Janhvi Kapoor walked for the designer at the Paris Fashion Week show. She wore a black top and black fishtail skirt for the show.
