Reward offered in deadly Alexander City shooting

CrimeStoppers of Central Alabama is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the fatal shooting in Alexander City this weekend.

Alexander City Police Department officers were called around 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, June 23 to a local hospital regarding an adult male being treated for a life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim, Chavorian Williams, 26, died of his injuries at the hospital.

Investigators later determined the shooting happened at a birthday party and social event called Freaknik around 1:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of Dadeville Road.
