Aussie Man’s Hilarious Reaction To Boyfriend’s Blunder

Matteo Berrettini advanced to his first Wimbledon semi-final after a brilliant performance, but his match point blunder had the entire stadium laughing, including Australian girlfriend Ajla Tomljanovic.

Berrettini became the first Italian in 61 years to reach the Wimbledon semi-finals by beating Félix Auger-Aliassime in four sets.

Berrettini, seeded number 7, won 6-3, 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 on court number 1 against a player he describes as “one of my best friends on the circuit.

He is the second Italian to reach the final four at Wimbledon, after Nicola Pietrangeli in 1960.

Berrettini received support from Australian tennis star Tomljanovic, who lost to compatriot Ash Barty in the quarter-finals, during the match in his box.

But the highlight came on match point.

Berrettini had three match points and thought he had served an ace in the “T”.

The Italian dropped his racket and raised his hands in celebration.

But with history beckoning, Berrettini was the only one in the stadium who did not realize his serve had been cancelled.

Berrettini turned to the chair umpire when he noticed that no one in the crowd had stood up.

The Italian looked perplexed when told he would have to serve again and his opponent Auger-Aliassime couldn’t help but laugh.

The show then turned its attention to Tomljanovic, who initially looked sheepish before being unable to contain his laughter.

Berrettini to face winner of Roger Federer

Berrettini will face Hubert Hurkacz after beating Roger Federer 6-3, 7-6 (7/4) 6-0 in a match that marked the first time Federer had suffered a bagel at the All England Club.

It was only the eight-time Wimbledon champion’s 14th defeat at the tournament in 119 appearances and his first straight-set loss since his first-round exit to Mario Ancic in 2002.
