Lifelong Local Releases Delicious Hudson Valley-Inspired Cookbook

Born and raised in the Hudson Valley, Lee Kalpakis wears many hats: she began her career in food media and has held careers including recipe developer, cooking show host, food producer, food stylist and private chef. Now the culinary director of the new bar-cafe-community space Camp Kingston, she can also add author to the list. After living in a 22-foot-long vintage camper in the Catskills for nearly 2 years with her partner, she found herself creating a collection of simple, functional recipes that could be cooked over a fire or in a small space. To celebrate the release of the book, Over There: A Cookbook for Campers, Kalpakis will offer a 3-course family dinner featuring ingredients grown in the Hudson Valley over the fire at AutoCamp in Saugerties using recipes from the pages of his book.
