Kevin Costner has made a shocking revelation about splitting from his longtime wife, Christine Baumgartner.

As fans know, Christine was the second wife of the American actor and filmmaker. The former couple married Christine Baumgartner in 2004, after Kevin split from his first wife, Cindy Silva in 1994. However, Kevin’s new marriage also ended earlier this year, in February.

Recently, the 69-year-old acting sensation sat down for a confessional on CBS Mornings and was asked about the shocking breakup by the show’s host, Gayle King.

“It’s a shocking moment. It’s powerful, it hurts,” Kevin said of his divorce from longtime partner Christine.

Nonetheless, he admitted that he doesn’t cling to anything from the past “because he had to keep a special eye on his children who looked up to him.”

This comes after Kevin confessed to being ready to fall in love again and shared during a chat with Fox News what he is looking for in his new partner.

Speaking about his past romantic relationships, he said: “I’ve had two unique relationships,” adding: “A person who wants to be loved, and she wants to be loved.”

“You know…they feel like they’re at their best. And this love contributes to it and does not hinder it,” explained Kevin before concluding.
