Sergeant Slaughter says WWE should have offered him a billion-dollar contract to manage Lacey Evans

Lacey Evans was a major heel in WWE during her tenure with the company. His on-screen persona borrowed heavily from Sgt. Slaughter, a decision that didn’t sit well with the WWE legend.

During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Sgt. Slaughter revealed that WWE offered him a role as manager for former WWE Superstar Lacey Evans. Slaughter rejected the offer, calling it “slap in the face.”

“They wanted me to come and manage it, but I saw the contract and I was like, ‘This is a slap in the face. They should give me a billion-dollar contract just for what I’ve done to your company. But then you send me a contract that I wouldn’t have wiped my behind with if I had been that kind of person.” As a professional, I just called and said, “I’m not interested, but if you want to find a little more money that would allow me to get out of this business, then I’ll think about coming back. But until- I won’t come back there.” »

Regarding Lacey Evans using the Cobra Clutch as a finisher, Sgt. Slaughter stated that he did not approve.

“That’s when I reacted and said (to WWE), ‘Hey, I own that move. I don’t want you to use it anymore.’ I didn’t mean to be mean or hurt her feelings, I just said, ‘That’s not what the Cobra Clutch is supposed to be. That’s supposed to be the end. That’s the end of the story.’ Just like, ‘Hey D-Von, take the tables. That’s the end of the story.’”

Lacey Evans finally left WWE last year. She now has multiple sources of income, including a construction business with her husband and paid premium content.

It remains to be seen if Lacey Evans will return to the ring. She hasn’t ruled out the possibility, but for now, her future in wrestling is uncertain. Sergeant Slaughter is unlikely to be involved with her if she returns.
