Rebecca Humphries reveals what shocked her most about the ‘Strictly’ kissing scandal

Rebecca Humphries has gained an army of fans for the way she handled the fallout from her ex The Seann Walsh Cheating Scandal with her groom Strictly partner Katya Jones.

The actress posted a test on Twitter claiming to “not be a victim” and various Instagram posts that include the cat she was supposed to have kept during the breakup with Walsh and a scathing karaoke rendition of “I Put a Spell on You.”

And now she’s back with a heartfelt essay in Voguein which she reveals what shocked her most in this whole ordeal.

And it’s probably not what you think. Humphries says what’s surprised her most is the outpouring of kindness she’s received from strangers about her grief.

“On October 8, I had one goal: to present a fuller, more accurate version of a woman than the sharper, simpler ‘jilted partner’ persona that was already in use,” Humphries wrote.

“But perhaps the greatest shock (and no small one) was the thousands of people who recognized that the Wonder Woman behind that statement was simultaneously standing amid the ruins of a shattered reality — and their willingness to offer humor, perspective, and life force to help rebuild it,” she explained.

She then wrote about the “electric kindness” she felt and said she thought kindness had been “revamped” this year.

“This has been the most dynamic electric storm of kindness you could ever hope to experience. Being Kind has had a 2018 makeover. It’s fierce, funny, vibrant, in your face, all singing, all dancing,” she wrote.

She concluded by encouraging readers to be kind – especially to themselves – and called it “sexy.”

“It won’t be easy. Accepting that from others is one thing; the next, harder step is learning to be kind to yourself. But I’m more than willing to do it. Especially now that I know how sexy it is.”
