NDC Constituency Leaders in Ashanti Region Boycott Meeting Over Inequitable Distribution of Campaign Resources

The meeting was disrupted due to the distribution of party resources

Constituency chairmen of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti region have boycotted a strategy meeting organised by regional leaders. The meeting, chaired by the regional chairman, Augustus Andrews Nana Kwasi, was greeted with controversy.

Constituency chairmen accused the regional chairman of bias in the distribution of party resources, saying he favoured certain constituency chairmen.

President Nana Kwasi was expected to distribute six new cars to some constituencies in the region; however, the meeting was disrupted by discontent from the constituency presidents.

In response, the Ashanti Regional Chairman maintains that he has only received six vehicles to distribute and is following specific instructions regarding which constituencies are to receive them.
