Shania Twain Fans Shocked After Using Two Kitchen Ingredients To Remove Makeup

For most festival-goers, nothing beats the humble makeup remover wipe, as its speed and simplicity often overshadow its lack of effectiveness.

However, for superstar Shania Twain, who will headline Glastonbury this weekend, a makeup remover wipe isn’t enough.

The 58-year-old takes to the stage this Sunday to perform her hit songs – which will leave some wondering what she looks like that GOOD?

Luckily, she shared a beauty secret that makes her feel “like a woman.”

Don’t worry, there’s no need to carry a 10-step beauty regimen with you, because for Shania, it’s as simple as two household products.

In a tutorial for Harper’s Bazaar, the “You’re Still the One” singer revealed that there’s a home remedy for stubborn makeup that she’s been using for a while now that doubles as a facial cleanser and scrub.

What will you need to replicate Shania’s glow? Head to your cupboards and grab some sugar and olive oil.

She revealed: “I just mix this in the palm of my hand, I don’t use makeup remover per se. I actually just combine olive oil and sugar.

“I don’t push it too hard, I just do it gently. »

This sworn hack has been a staple of the icon’s routine for years, and she revealed the secret to The Cut in 2017.

Shania explained: “This is going to sound weird, but since I travel a lot, I take sugar and a little olive oil or whatever facial cream I have on hand.

“And I mix it with a little warm water, and I gently rub my face.

“I invented it myself. It’s very difficult to find an exfoliant that I really like, I’ve tried so many. I’ve tried very fine sand before, but it’s a bit too abrasive.

“Sugar works well because it softens with a little warm water and is not harsh on the skin. »

The home remedy received a mixed response online, with some planning to admire Shania’s complexion from afar, sticking to their own products.

From fear of looking too oily to concerns about the abrasiveness of sugar on the skin, many quickly abandoned the concoction.

One viewer expressed her distaste for the makeshift remover, sharing an anecdote about the time she used olive oil on her face and “had cystic acne for a week.”

While another said: “I love Shania. Shania is my daughter… But why do you put sugar on your face?”

The country singer will rock the Pyramid Stage this Sunday, occupying the coveted Legends slot.
