Fans react as Jamahal Hill sends another warning message to Alex Pereira ahead of his title defense at UFC 303

Fans react as Jamahal Hill sends another warning message to Alex Pereira ahead of his title defense at UFC 303

Ahead of Alex Pereira’s title defense against Jiri Prochazka next Saturday at UFC 303, former champion and rival Jamahal Hill sent a warning message to the Brazilian.

Jamahal Hill still appears to be recovering from his UFC 300 loss to Alex Pereira last April, continuing to claim that Herb Dean’s interference resulted in a devastating knockout.

The former champion was originally scheduled to fight on the International Fight Week card against Khalil Rountree Jr., but the latter was suspended due to a positive drug test. With that, Hill was rebooked to fight Carlos Ulberg, but a few weeks later, “Sweetdreams” withdrew due to a knee injury.

Jamahal Hill Sends Warning Message to Alex Pereira Ahead of UFC 303

The 33-year-old boxer clearly wants a rematch with “Poatan” as he feels wronged since their first meeting. In a 40-minute video on his YouTube channel, Hill sent a warning message to the Brazilian ahead of their title fight this weekend.

“Alex has his own task ahead of him this weekend… good luck to you in that fight and in that rematch with Jiri because if you lose, I don’t care if they give me a title shot. It’s me and you,” Hill said in his YouTube video.

“If you win, I’ll starch the next one and we’ll see each other soon. If you lose, we’ll see each other very soon,” the former champion continued.

The 33-year-old may have to wait his turn though as Magomed Ankalaev is likely the next contender and Pereira has already mentioned he wants to “silence the fans” by fighting the dominant grappler next.

Fans mock Hill for sending another warning message to Pereira

A few weeks ago, Hill spoke out properly for the first time since his loss to Pereira in April, taking offense at the Brazilian’s post-fight celebration.

After once again analyzing their first fight and commenting on the referee’s intervention, UFC fans began to mock Hill for continuing to talk about the fight.

“You just know my brother spends a lot of time thinking about Poatan,” one fan commented.

In his YouTube video, Hill also responded to fans who called him “salty” for missing out on the UFC 303 opportunity and seeing Pereira get called up.

“It’s a strange concept to me, seeing as how I willingly gave up the title for this type of movement and for this type of movement to happen,” Hill added.

Despite this, fans continued to attack the former light heavyweight champion.

Another fan commented: “The more he opens his mouth, the more MMA fans make fun of him. Jamahal Hill, you reek of insecurity.”
