Employees sent a ruthlessly honest message to customers after being underpaid and ignored.

Employees have the right to speak up if their workplace isn’t treating them well. Any problems, such as insufficient remuneration, labor relations and others, must be resolved. The first step to resolving these issues is to talk to management. However, if it is not taken into account, workers must take a persistent stance. Employees at a Pieology pizzeria collectively did the same thing. The pizzeria employees were forced to work with low wages and encountered problems in their work environment. Reddit user u/knightoffire55 shared the employees’ bold and impactful response on the matter.

The workers placed a sign on the front door of the store that expressed all the injustices they were facing. The sign stated that the employees had quit and gave their reasons. It read: “We Quit! Overworked, Underpaid, and No Meals Shifts.” Adding to the sign, the employees suggested: “Support a Better Company. Thank You for Your Patronage.” The sign was a well-delivered response to the media outlet’s cruel treatment.

Many people supported the workers and applauded their bold move. u/I_TRY_TO_BE_POSITIVE_ wrote: “The fact that a free meal is a selling point for any job shows how screwed we are. » u/Charleston2Seattle added: “If they were smart and didn’t want flaky employees, they would pay more than $3.14/hour. The fact that employees are denouncing them publicly is the icing on the cake.”

u/Slicce0fur noted: “These people were probably making close to minimum wage and living with multiple roommates just to live paycheck to paycheck. We need more of that.” u/ry_afz said: “I’m glad to hear that. Honestly, if companies could post employee reviews, benefits, etc., I’d support that company even more.

In a similar case, a hotel employee quit after being overworked. u/vinboslice420 shared an image of the resignation letter. They mentioned that they were hotel guests at the time and went to the front desk to ask for something when they spotted the letter. The employee named Milly pointed out how overworked and exhausted she was by the manager, Brian. She said, “Since I started here, I have done everything in my power to accommodate not only our guests, but also you, the employees and the ever-changing schedule. » She added that after discussing a leadership opportunity, she was treated recklessly. “When I asked you about it, you were cold and small. I asked you about it the next day and you said, “This discussion is over, Milly. You are ridiculous,’” the letter read.

Milly then shared a long list of how she always showed up when needed, but her hard work was ignored and overlooked. “Even in a time of need, you still managed to make me feel undervalued in such a short amount of time. You’ve been pretty rude in the conversations I’ve tried to have lately. I would be better off at McDonald’s. Bottom line, I QUIT,” she concluded. People praised the employee for her sassy and honest gesture. u/user wrote, “I hope Brian has to fold laundry tomorrow.” u/Leena52 added, “Brian, you can work all those shifts now.”
