Robert F Kennedy Jr. calls interviewer ‘unfair’ for detailing his long list of conspiracy theories

Robert F Kennedy Jr found himself searching for answers after being confronted with a long list of his conspiracy theories in a new interview.

The 69-year-old Democratic presidential candidate gave an in-depth interview last week to Nick Gillespie and Zach Weissmueller of Reasonwhich presents itself as the main libertarian magazine in the country.

Mr. Kennedy told the publication that he had “always been aligned with the libertarians on most issues” and would consider nominating Tulsi Gabbard as secretary of state.

Towards the end of the hour-long interview, Mr. Gillespie, The reasons The editor noted that RFK Jr regularly engaged in conspiracies and displayed a “kind of conspiratorial mindset where almost everything we take for granted is bad.”

Mr. Gillespie then listed the many conspiracies peddled by RFK Jr., including his anti-vaccine stance and his claims that 5G and Wi-Fi “control our minds,” that AIDS is not caused by HIV, that boys are becoming transgender because of chemicals in drinking water and that his cousin Michael Skakel was not guilty of a murder for which he was convicted.

“It goes on and on,” Mr. Gillespie said.

“How do you respond to people who say, you know, this is a sign of someone whose thinking is fundamentally conspiratorial rather than facing raw reality?”

Mr Kennedy responded that the questions were “very unfair”.

“You have described my beliefs from several angles, as you read in the newspapers. Many of them are simply false. »

When pressed, Mr. Kennedy offered to review each one individually and challenged investigators to “show me where I’m wrong.”

Mr Gillespie then referred to a now retracted article published by rolling stone And Slate in 2005, which made scientifically disproven claims linking childhood vaccines to autism.

Mr Kennedy wrongly claimed he had not been shown “a single error” in the articles.

Mr. Kennedy, who is making a long-shot bid to be the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee, has been repeatedly criticized by the scientific community for spreading dangerous misinformation about vaccines.

Last month, the former Living room Editor Joan Walsh said publishing Mr Kennedy’s article was the “worst mistake of my career” and she should have been fired for it.

The nephew of John F. Kennedy and son of Robert F. Kennedy recently appeared on Joe Rogan’s controversial podcast, where he continued to spread baseless claims about vaccines.

The couple challenged Dr. Petez Hotez, a renowned medical expert and virologist, to debate the science behind vaccines.

Dr. Hotez declined, saying he would be happy to speak with Rogan but did not want to create a talk show-type spectacle.

“I offered to come back and talk to Joe Rogan and have that discussion with him, but not to do a Jerry Springer with RFK Jr. thing,” he told MSNBC.
