Mary Earps breaks silence on Manchester United exit, says ‘I don’t think it’s right’

Mary Earps has penned an emotional message following confirmation of her Manchester United exit.

The 31-year-old is set to join Paris Sain-Germain as her five-year stay at United comes to an end at the end of her contract. With that in mind, Earps posted on social media thanking United and their supporters while briefly addressing the reasons for his departure.




On Instagram, she wrote: “Dear United family, after 5 years of service at your great club, I have decided it is time for a new challenge. This is a decision I have thought about for some time and I did not take it lightly.

“The club is about to go through a period of transition, and unfortunately I don’t think it fits where I am in my career, so I feel it’s the right time to make a change and embark on a new adventure. new challenge. There aren’t the right words, or enough words, to express my sincere gratitude to you all, but I hope the following comes close.

“I am proud to have played every minute of the league for the badge over the last 5 seasons, and even prouder for us as a team to have broken the record for most clean sheets in a season in 2023.

“The icing on the cake was winning the FA Cup at Wembley, a trophy I always dreamed of winning, with you all singing at the top of your lungs. I could list many more of my favorite memories, but these in particular I will cherish.
