“Tampa News Force Live!” » is solely responsible for the cancellation of state arts funding

The “Tampa News Force Live!” “, first presented at the 2023 Tampa International Fringe Festival before beginning a year-long residency as a production of the Tampa Fringe, was named by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as the primary reason for his decision to veto vetoed funding for arts programs statewide.

The original production, which premiered in Ybor City at the Fringe Theater in May 2023, starred voluptuous burlesque bombshell Kaiti James. Although there was no sexually explicit content throughout the show’s year-long run, there was indeed “all that,” clearly implying that the entire responsibility for this unfortunate development lies with entirely to Tampa News Force.

Tampa News Force deeply regrets the negative impact this will have on community theater company Plant City Entertainment and other arts organizations throughout Florida.
