The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday announced new dates for the UGC-NET 2024 exam.

The exam will now be conducted between August 21 and September 4, said an NTA notification issued on Friday.

The UGC-NET June 2024 round exam was earlier conducted in pen and paper (offline) mode. However, it will now be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, the notification added.

Besides, the computer-based test date for NCET 2024 will be July 10, 2024, while the joint CSIR-UGC NET exam will be held from July 25 to 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2024 will be held as scheduled on July 6, 2024.

About the UGC-NET document leak case

The UGC-NET-2024 exam for the selection of junior researchers, assistant professors and doctoral students was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 18. The exam was held at 1,205 centres across 317 cities with over 11,00,000 candidates registered to appear in the test.

However, the exam was canceled a day later with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan saying the exam topic had been leaked on the darknet.

The case was then referred to CBI for investigation.
