Fortnite Reload Card | Points of Interest and How to Play an OG-Inspired Map

Will Reload replace Battle Royale and become Fortnite’s flagship mode? It’s possible.

If you missed the hype, you might be wondering what Fortnite Reload is. How is it different from last year’s OG Battle Royale map? Let’s take a closer look.

What is Fortnite Reload? New Map Explained

Fortnite Reload is a team-based mode that takes place on the classic map from Chapter 1, and also presents weapons from this era. All the flashbacks!

More like this

The official website describes it as follows: “Fortnite Reload is a fast-paced, 40-player, team-only Battle Royale game where the goal is to lead the team to victory.

“Reboot while a teammate is still in action! Collect materials after rebooting to get back into shape!

“Eliminate your opponents to restart your teammates faster! Towards the end of the match, restarts will stop. Gather with your team to earn the Victory Royale!”

And let’s not forget the new Duos mode that was added in the June 27th patch. You can read more about it here.

The new Fortnite Reload map is slightly smaller than players will be used to, but the classic locations included will surely make up for that.

How to play Fortnite Reload explained

So how can we delve into this blast from the past? To access Fortnite Reload, simply follow our tips below

First of all, you will need to head to the Discover screen from the Fortnite main menu.

If you don’t immediately see Reload in the list, you should be able to search for “Recharge” in the search bar.

From there, click on Reload mode. Then select Zero Build or traditional Battle Royale with builds.

Select “Play” and let’s go! It’s time to party like it’s 2017.

Will Fortnite Reload receive new content in the future?

With the Duos option available less than a week after the mode was removed, we’d be surprised if Reload doesn’t get a lot of new content in the future. But what could this entail?

Perhaps a single-player mode would be the next logical step. The indie option is popular and fun in classic Battle Royale, so it would make sense to bring it into Reload.

The map itself may also undergo some changes over time. It could go through major milestones in Fortnite’s history, in the same vein as World of Warcraft Classic.

Who knows what the future holds for Reload? But as soon as something is revealed, we will update this page.
