Euro 2024 has complicated the start of the summer transfer window for Liverpool, who may have to wait before approaching players.

The tournament began on the same day the window opened – June 14 – and will continue until July 14, making matters more difficult for elite players who will still be focused on their national team at over the next few weeks. Nevertheless, Arne Slot is now in the position of boss of the Reds and he is charting the way forward.

As Mirror Football explained this week, it is likely to be a case of continuity rather than revolution at Anfield, despite the change in regime. However, new sporting director Richard Hughes is still open to the possibility of signings – either as replacements for existing players or if a bargain becomes available.

With that in mind, here are the latest rumours from the world of Liverpool, involving both possible incomings and outgoings.

Kvaratskhelia breaks her silence

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia says he will decide his future after Euro 2024 as he is fully focused on Georgia’s knockout match against Spain. Napoli star Kvaratskhelia scored in Georgia’s remarkable victory over Portugal, which earned the competition’s lowest-ranked team a last-16 tie against heavyweight Spain on Sunday evening.

But outside of the tournament, there is plenty of speculation about his future, with his agent and father both giving their opinions on the matter. Liverpool are among the teams reportedly interested in his services, but Napoli have put their foot down, issuing a testy statement and now the 23-year-old winger has spoken out.

“I respect (new Napoli coach Antonio) Conte, he is one of the best coaches,” he said. “I also respect Napoli, I love Napoli. I will decide my future after the Euros. Now I am focused on the match against Spain.”
