Kvaratskhelia breaks her silence

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia says he will decide his future after Euro 2024 as he is fully focused on Georgia’s knockout match against Spain. Napoli star Kvaratskhelia scored in Georgia’s remarkable victory over Portugal, which earned the competition’s lowest-ranked team a last-16 tie against heavyweight Spain on Sunday evening.

But outside of the tournament, there is plenty of speculation about his future, with his agent and father both giving their opinions on the matter. Liverpool are among the teams reportedly interested in his services, but Napoli have put their foot down, issuing a testy statement and now the 23-year-old winger has spoken out.

“I respect (new Napoli coach Antonio) Conte, he is one of the best coaches,” he said. “I also respect Napoli, I love Napoli. I will decide my future after the Euros. Now I am focused on the match against Spain.”

Juve head towards Reds’ target

Juventus are preparing to lodge a bid for Nice midfielder – and former Liverpool target – Khephren Thuram after agreeing an £11million deal to sell striker Moise Kean to Fiorentina.

Tuttosport reports that Juve are prepared to reinvest funds from Everton’s flop following Kean’s exit to sign 23-year-old Thuram, who is the brother of Inter striker Marcus. The France youth international has entered the final 12 months of his contract and Nice are reportedly ready to sell.

Thuram, who is also the son of France legend Lilian, was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool last summer as the team sought a defensive midfielder. He ended up staying put, but is now set to land his big move.

Liverpool sell unknown defender

Do you know the name Anderson Arroyo? Well, if you answered no, you are not alone, but he is a Liverpool player, but not for long. The Colombian defender joined the Reds in 2018, but has not made a single appearance for the club.

He has been loaned out eight times, to Spain, Belgium, the Czech Republic and Andorra. But that nomadic lifestyle is about to end, with his latest loan club, Burgos, set to sign him permanently.

The Spanish second division side, whose sporting director is former Swansea striker Michu, are keen to sign the 24-year-old. Liverpool would let him leave for nothing, although Arroyo is under contract for another year.
