Two Harbors native Tate Nelson announces college commitment

Tate Nelson of Two Harbor announced his decision Friday to commit to the University of Minnesota Duluth football team.

Nelson was considered a weapon in the Two Harbors backfield, he totaled 792 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns with the Agates during the 2023-24 season, in addition to his totals of over 330 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns, with only 10 catches.

The Agate junior was crowned the 2023 Minnesota state track and field champion in the 100 and long jump.
Nelson is expected to graduate in 2025 and will play under coach Curt Wiese for the 2025-26 season.
