Shock for students as new Trust ends Stanford and Corringham Sixth Form admissions

Students planning to attend Stanford and Corringham Sixth Form Center for the first time in September have been shocked by the news that the college’s planned new operators have ended new admissions and there will be no new admissions this year.

The Ortu sixth form centre, based at the Gable Hall campus on Southend Road in Corringham, had showcased its facilities at open evenings and publicity events and was due to welcome students, subject to GCSE results, in the new academic year.

It is currently managed by the Ortu Federation who also manage Gable Hall, Hassenbrook Academy and Corringham Primary School.
