CM Siddaramaiah caught in T20 World Cup fever moments before boarding flight to Delhi | Bengaluru

As the electrifying India-South Africa T20 World Cup final got underway on Saturday evening, every Indian cricket enthusiast was fervently wishing for a triumphant result for their team. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was no exception as he found himself in a strange situation: torn between his duties and his interest in the much-anticipated cricket match.

Dressed in his signature suit, kurta and a shawl (because why not?), he stood on the airport tarmac, glued to a tablet, playing the World Cup final as a car and a private plane waited for him to board.

The chief minister was scheduled to travel to the national capital Delhi to meet the central leadership. After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi during which key issues regarding the development and progress of Karnataka were discussed, CM Siddaramaiah on Saturday submitted a detailed letter to the prime minister, highlighting the key demands and priorities of the state, news agency PTI reported.

LK Atheeq, additional chief secretary to the CM, posted a picture of the Congress stalwart enjoying a few moments of an exciting match before boarding the flight on social networking site ‘X’. “Chief Minister @siddaramaiah watches T20 World Cup final match before boarding flight to Delhi today!
