Anushka Sharma's Special Message to Virat Kohli After T20 World Cup Win

Team India ended the wait of 1.4 billion people on Saturday night after beating South Africa in a nail-biting final to win the ICC T20 World Cup after 17 years.

The good news was also mixed with a little disappointment as modern legends of the game, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma announced their retirement from the shorter format.

Reacting to India’s win, Virat Kohli’s wife and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma had shared a post on Instagram. Sharing emotional pictures of the players, Anushka wrote, “Our daughter’s biggest concern was whether all the players had someone to hug them after she saw them crying on TV… Yes, my darling, they were hugged by 1.5 billion people.” Hailing the phenomenal win and legendary feat, she congratulated the team.

She also posted a special message to celebrate her husband’s accomplishments as he bid farewell to the format. She wrote, “AND… I love this man. I’m so grateful to call you home. Now go grab me a glass of sparkling water to celebrate!”

Earlier, Virat Kohli was seen talking to Anushka and the kids on a video call from the stadium after the final victory. Team India beat South Africa by 7 runs.
