Memphis LK Announces New Club-Focused Track With Willaris. K – News

Memphis LK has announced their next single in collaboration with Naarm-based Willaris. K., “Say”.

Set to be released on July 4 and presented as a teaser for the London-based Australian’s upcoming EP, the track marks the start of her evolution into heavily club-focused music.

“This track was started on a Sunday afternoon while experimenting with ideas played through my laptop speakers,” says Willaris. K. “I loved the loop so I sent it to Memphis, it added her angelic voice and we turned it into a full song. I love hearing the Australian accent inflections on it. I really enjoyed doing something outside of the usual WK. her.”

“I love Jack’s music so much,” Memphis LK adds after receiving the loop. “I feel like we have a lot of similarities with sounds and emotions in music, so it was really nice and easy to work together.

“‘Say’ was made for a close friend of mine who was going through a shitty time. Sometimes the hardest thing about a dark time is that when you’re so immersed in chaos, it’s hard to understand and express her emotions, so I just wanted her to know that I was there for her while she was going through this.
