Suffolk announces Stars & Stripes show – The Suffolk News-Herald

SUFFOLK, VA (June 28, 2024) The City of Suffolk Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Stars & Stripes Spectacular concert and fireworks display on Thursday, July 4, at Constant’s Wharf Park & ​​Marina, 100 E. Constance Rd.

The festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m., The Feenies will take the stage from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and fireworks will light up the sky over the Nansemond River at 9 p.m. Admission is free for all ages. Several food trucks and merchandise vendors will be on site and available for purchase, including beer for those 21 and older (ID is required). Participants are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to sit on. A children’s area including bouncy castles, crafts, face painting and glitter tattoos will be available, along with other outdoor games.

Please note that there is no on-site parking for this event. Shuttle stops will be available at First Baptist Church, 237 N. Main St., and the Godwin Courthouse Building, 150 N. Main St. Shuttles will run from 5:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and again after the fireworks are over.
