Wildlife Habitat Program Offered in East Winthrop on July 10

EAST WINTHROP — Improving wildlife habitat in your backyard will be the topic of the lecture at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 10 at the Weston Woods Preserve.

The program will be led by Kennebec Land Trust and Joe Roy, private lands wildlife biologist with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.

Participants can learn about wildlife habitat and strategies to improve the landscape to benefit wildlife.

Roy is part of MDIFW’s Beginning with Habitat program, which provides technical assistance related to wildlife habitat to landowners, land trusts and municipalities, according to a news release from the trust’s Marie Ring.
