Taylor Swift Reacts to Simone Biles Using Her Song ‘Ready For It’ During Olympic Trials Floor Routine

Greatness recognizes greatness, with Taylor Swift responding to gymnastics legend Simone Biles by using her song “…Ready For It?” in her floor routine at the U.S. Olympic Trials.

The singer of “Down Bad” reposted video of Bile’s incredible floor routine from the second night of the 2024 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials, and written on X: “I’ve watched this so many times and I’m still not ready. But she is ready.”

The pop star was reacting to a video of the routine posted by the NBC Olympics & Paralympics account in which Biles performed the triple-double – also known as the “world’s hardest tumbling pass” – as the song from the 2017 album of the singer Reputation plays.

Many Swift fans were also thrilled that Biles used the song for her floor routine.

“Song is clearly ready for this?” And we still weren’t,” someone praised the seven-time Olympic medalist.

“Simone Biles starting her floor routine with Taylor Swift is everything,” one fan exclaimed on X, while another said, “A Simone Biles and Taylor Swift crossover just makes sense.”

With two days of trials remaining for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Biles leads the field Sunday with a score of 58.900 with Jordan Chiles in second at 56.400 and Suni Lee holding on to third at 56.025.

After her first event, the uneven bars, Biles was in second place. But it was her two favorite events, the floor and vault, that helped her soar to first place and send the crowd roaring.

For her routine on the second floor, Biles collaborated with French dancer Gregory Milan, to choreograph her routine, according to NBC.

His performance Friday night qualified him for the 2024 team that the United States plans to send to Paris to compete in this year’s Olympics. At each Olympic Trials, the highest-scoring gymnast is automatically part of the team the United States will send to Paris, with four others selected by a committee after the trials conclude.

Biles withdrew from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, citing mental health reasons at the time, but her performance at the U.S. Olympic trials shows she’s back and better than ever.
