Former Packers superstar could be traded; Should Green Bay consider a reunion?

The Green Bay Packers are loaded with talent and are just a point or two away from being truly considered a Super Bowl contender.

Green Bay surprised some last season with the play of rising star Jordan Love. The Packers managed to return to the playoffs and surprised the Dallas Cowboys. Green Bay could be a threat to win a Super Bowl in the coming years and the addition of another playmaker could help make that goal a reality.

One player who surprisingly could be available and would fit that description is Las Vegas Raiders superstar wide receiver Davante Adams. Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine put together a list of teams that could sell at the trade deadline and mentioned the Raiders and Adams as trade candidates.

“If no quarterback can keep them in the Wild Card race, then the Raiders could start looking toward the 2025 draft,” Ballentine said. “That means stockpiling additional picks in order to potentially move up the ranks and get a promising rookie quarterback. That would mean becoming aggressive sellers at the trade deadline.

“Davante Adams is at the top of their list of potential trade assets. Adams is still producing at a high level, but he will be 32 at the end of the season and there is only $15.7 million in dead money on his contract for 2025… Potential trade candidates : WR Davante Adams, (offensive lineman) Cody Whitehair, (quarterback) Aidan O’Connell, (and) (quarterback) Gardner Minshew II.

If Adams becomes available, Green Bay should do whatever it takes to bring him back to the team. He would immediately be Love’s primary weapon and could take the offense to another level.
