Daniel Fernandes canceled his show called Do you know who I am? which was to take place at Heart Cup Coffee located in Jubilee Hills area of ​​Hyderabad. He cited security concerns after a threat was issued to him by BJP Goshamahal MP T Raja Singh after the latter made a joke about the Jain community on his previous show. “No one is prepared to guarantee the safety of my audience, my team and myself,” he said and added, We had to reschedule tonight’s concerts in Hyderabad due to the unrest caused by my last video. The video that offended people has been removed and I issued an apology today. However, we still receive calls, messages and emails threatening violence and vandalism.

In a video, BJP MP from Goshamahal, Hyderabad, T Raja Singh had claimed that if the comedian did not cancel his show, “our workers will come there and beat you up”. Quoted by South First, he said: “On Bakri Eid, a comedian named Daniel Fernandes made bad jokes and made fun of the Jain community. I want to remind him that you have a show in Banjara Hills today (Saturday), right? It is better that you cancel the show, otherwise our workers will come and beat you up. You will think 50 times before coming to Telangana.

Meanwhile, the comedian apologized and said: “The video that offended people has been removed and I have already issued an apology. However, we still receive calls, messages and emails threatening violence and vandalism. No one is prepared to guarantee the safety of my audience, my team and myself.
