I believe that every child, regardless of their situation or background, can benefit from the help of a trusted adult mentor. That’s why I’m motivated to support the Buddy program year after year.

I have seen firsthand the value of mentoring for youth in this valley. As a parent and teacher, I have seen children feel more confident socially and academically after having a mentor. I have also seen improvements in their grades and mental health after having a positive relationship with a caring and consistent adult.

Having a non-family volunteer help a child build confidence and manage daily stress is an integral part of what makes the Buddy program so successful, and I truly believe in their mission! They empower youth and provide opportunities that make them confident leaders in our society.

I invite the community to join my family and I in supporting the Buddy Program by attending their Bash for the Buddies fundraiser on July 6th, making a donation, or considering volunteering as a Big Buddy or volunteering at one of their events. Every little bit of support helps them fulfill their mission and our local youth need that support now more than ever.
