Assault suspect surrenders after woman found dead in Las Vegas hotel room

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police say the man accused in the death of a woman found in a hotel room has turned himself in.

On Wednesday, June 12, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers responded to reports of a possible assault victim at Spring Valley Hospital.

The victim, a woman, was found unresponsive in a hotel room in the 4300 block of West Flamingo Road.

Hospital staff then considered his condition critical. However, on Friday June 21, staff informed police that the woman had died.

An initial investigation would identify Jason Kendall, 35, as a suspect in this case. On Friday, June 28, Kendall went to LVMPD headquarters.

He was taken into custody and booked on several criminal charges, including murder, at the Clark County Detention Center.
