Harry Jowsey Says Rumors He’s Dating ‘DWTS’ Co-Star Rylee Arnold Are ‘A Little Unfair’

“We’re doing our best to focus on dancing, and whatever happens, happens,” the “Too Hot to Handle” star tells PEOPLE

Harry Jowsey responds to rumors he’s dating his Dancing with the stars partner Rylee Arnold.

Speaking to PEOPLE after his performance on Tuesday night’s show, the Too hot to handle The 26-year-old star called the speculation “a little unfair.”

“I think it’s a little unfair to Rylee so early,” Jowsey says of the rumors. “She’s still very new in this world and everyone has an opinion and that kind of thing.”

The reality star adds: “And it’s week three, we’re trying our best to focus on dancing, and whatever happens, happens. We’re just enjoying being together.”

Arnold joined the dance competition for season 32, but she’s no stranger to ballroom — she’s the younger sister of DWTS alumna Lindsay Arnold, who won Mirrorball with Jordan Fisher in Season 25.

Jowsey and Arnold wowed the judges with their final dance, earning a score of 24 out of 40 for their Foxtrot as the show honored the music of Motown.

Praising Jowsey’s “charm”, Bruno Tonioli told her: “It was wonderful to see the care you took of your daughter.”

Meanwhile, Carrie Ann Inaba said she was “in awe” of the routine, noting that there was a “poetry in the way you move.”

“It’s been a very difficult, very tough week, but to hear a compliment was really, really nice,” Jowsey told co-host Julianne Hough of Inaba’s comments.

Jowsey tells PEOPLE he was “shocked” by the judges’ positive comments because he thought they were going to “butcher” his ballroom performance.

“I think it’s just because this week has been really tough and foxtrot is not easy,” Jowsey said. “It’s been a really tough week, mentally and physically. And then to hear them all say such great things just shocked me. I was sitting there, I don’t even know if my body was in shape, I don’t know if I was doing the right things. I was just trying to be in the moment, so I think it caught me off guard. I was expecting them to slaughter us this week.”

He added that he believes the bond between him and Arnold has helped him get through the tough routine. “Every time I look at Rylee, I know it’s a safe space, and I know it doesn’t matter what’s going on outside,” he said. “It’s just us out there.”
