Hawk Tuah’s Daughter Haliey Welch FINALLY Breaks Her Silence After Viral Video Launches Her To Stardom

The young woman who became famous after a video in which she gave enthusiastic sex advice went viral has finally spoken out.

Haliey Welch, now known as the “Hawk Tuah girl,” described her surprise at becoming an overnight sensation, the “scary” reaction she got from men online and how her parents were unfazed by her explicit advice.

Speaking with Brianna Lapaglia on the Plan Bri Uncut podcast on Monday, the 21-year-old said fans have offered her up to $600 to spit in a jar for them. But Welch — whose unusual spelling of her first name was confirmed by DailyMail.com — added that she’s hesitant to remain “Hawk Tuah’s” daughter forever.

She also revealed that she quit her factory job and hired a manager since the clip in which she explains how to “drive a man crazy in bed” during a Nashville street video for Tim & Dee TV racked up more than 3 million views on YouTube after it was released on June 19.

When asked what her parents thought of her viral comment, Welch replied, “They think it’s so funny…they never know what’s going to come out of my mouth,” she told Lapaglia.

At first, Welch isolated herself in rural Tennessee where she lives with her family. Her friends and family built a protective wall around her to shield her from publicity.

Since being thrust into the spotlight, she said she has received “revolting” offers from fans who have tried to reach her through the man she teamed up with to offer her special “Hawk Tuah” merchandise.

She said, “So the guy who makes my hats, he was offered $600 three days ago to spit in a jar and sell it. This is disgusting! This is just disgusting, isn’t it?”

She also expressed frustration with social media users who “misspell my name” and create accounts with her photos. She insists she deleted all her social media accounts six months ago, long before she became an internet sensation.

“It’s a little scary to see your face on another account that doesn’t belong to you,” Welch added.

Welch was hailed as the “Queen of the Internet” after she was asked for her advice on how to please a man in bed.

She said excitedly, “You have to give them that tuah falcon.”

Hundreds of memes followed, with talk of a Hollywood agent, the phrase being shouted by a fan as 2024 US Open golf champion Bryson DeChambeau hit a tee shot at the LIV event in Nashville, and gymnast Olivia Dunne joining the craze.

Mixed martial arts hero Conor McGregor tweeted on X: “Have we located Hawk Tuah yet?”

She joined Lapaglia, also known as “Brianna Chickenfry,” just two days after sharing the stage with Lapaglia’s boyfriend, Zach Bryan, at Nashville Nissan Stadium.

In the lengthy interview, Welch confirmed that she had been out drinking that night, but that her vulgar comment was meant as a joke and that she “didn’t mean anything by it.”

Welch rose to fame after a June 19 interview in which she used the term “Hawk Tuah” to describe a sexual act.

The rising star was then asked about the celebrity she had a crush on in a game called ‘Hawk Tuah or Nah’.

Lapaglia first asked Welch what she thought of her country singer boyfriend, telling her to “be careful.”

Welch and Chelsea Bradford, the friend standing next to her in the viral clip, both burst out laughing before telling Lapaglia, “I love you, but I love you.”

The duo then showed interest in Morgan Wallen. However, they failed to recognize who Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown was.

At first, they didn’t recognize Dave Portnoy, the owner of Barstool Sports, but after Lapaglia showed them a photo, they gave him a “Hawk.”

Welch and Bradford were also reluctant when asked about professional boxer and YouTuber Jake Paul, but they immediately declined the offer to “peddle” former President Donald Trump.

Welch explained that she didn’t expect to see the music video again after it was filmed.

She said: “I think he posted the full video on YouTube last Sunday, but he only told us he was a YouTuber, he never said anything about Instagram, TikTok, nothing like that.

“So I thought, ‘Oh, well, I’ll never see that again, but of course I did.'”

She described her surprise at seeing that the video had been viewed a million times, but added that she assumed it wouldn’t get “bigger” than that.

“Then I came back about an hour later and the views went up by a million and I was like, ‘Oh my God, there’s no way that happened,’” Welch added.

Lapaglia then asked the internet sensation how she felt about being known as the Hawk Tuah girl, a name Welch said she doesn’t want to be called for the rest of her life.

Welch also denied rumors about where she and her family worked. Online reports initially suggested that Welch was a schoolteacher who was fired after the video surfaced, and that her father was a pastor.

“I worked in a spring factory, I’m not a schoolteacher,” she said.

“My father is so far from being a preacher, it’s crazy.”

She said that after becoming famous, she quit her job and now plans to travel around the country and “be on a show and a bunch of podcasts and everything in between.”

“There is still much to come, don’t worry,” she added.

In addition to the creepy men who attack her online, Welch said she’s also received a fair amount of hate from people, but she doesn’t care.

She said, “The people out there who hate me, I don’t even know them. So what do I care?”
