$21,000 reward offered in Mississippi homicide case

CARROLL COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) — A $21,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in a Mississippi homicide case.

Carroll County deputies said Kenneth “Kim” Daves was found dead at the K&M grocery store on July 29, 2015. His family owned and operated the store in Black Hawk.

Over the years, investigators said many leads have developed, but they needed someone to come forward to help close the case.

Carroll County Sheriff Clint Walker addressed supervisors at their regular Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, and asked them to approve a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Daves’ murder.

“Kim was murdered just days before I was first elected. Over the years, I have worked to develop leads and even asked other outside investigators to look into this case. This family has been waiting a long time for justice. As we approach the ninth anniversary, I ask the Board to increase the reward and reinvigorate efforts to close this case. Someone knows who is responsible for this murder. Someone has either first-hand knowledge or good information about this. Any information is appreciated. If you know something, we need to know,” Walker said.

Supervisors approved the $10,000 reward offer in addition to the $11,000 offered by Daves’ family.
