Governor Kelly Announces Administration Appointments

TOPEKA— Today, Governor Laura Kelly announced 7 appointments to the following state boards.

Washburn University Board of Regents
Aim: Manage property, estates and funds donated, transferred and promised to the university.

Kansas Board of Nurses
Aim: Protecting the health, safety and welfare of the public through the process of licensing and regulating nursing professions.

Andrea Pettey-Watson, Shawnee (reappointment)
Dr. Amy Hite, Pittsburgh

Wichita State University Board of Trustees
Purpose: To manage property, estate and funds donated, transferred and promised to the university.

Junette Everett, Wichita (reappointment)
Tracee Adams, Wichita (reappointment)
Kevin McWhorter, Wichita (reappointment)

Long-Term Care Ombudsman
Purpose: To advocate on behalf of residents of long-term care facilities, including retirement homes, assisted living facilities, residential care facilities and nursing homes.
